With our Pepper Vally “YOUR MAJESTY” line show that luxury and fashionable does not mean having to compromise on environmental respect.  If there is one fabric that brings luxury style, performance and nature together in perfect harmony, it’s merino wool.

Naturally elegant, odor and wrinkle resistant, soft and climate adaptable, when wearing your merino wool garment, you are enjoying the benefits of years of evolution. Merino sheep of New Zealand, can withstand temperatures ranging from -20 C° up to +35 C° effortlessly, thanks to the unique traits of their wool.

As much as 35 per cent of microplastics in the marine environment are fibers from synthetic clothing, an amount that continues to increase. In contrary, natural fibres such as wool readily biodegrade, offering a less impactful solution. Even more if your garment is manufactured on demand, without stock overproduction, you enjoy a special item made in the time and by the way you need it, this results to maximize the benefits for our ecosystem.

So, what are the crucial benefits of merino wool?

Soft on skin

Merino wool fibres are extremely fine, enabling them to bend far more than traditional, coarser wool fibres. This makes Merino wool feel soft and luxuriously gentle next to your skin.

Warm and cool

Merino wool is fashion’s natural climate regulating system. The breathing qualities of the fabric hold great advantages when it comes to comfort. Merino wool is perfect for all-year-round clothing. In contrast to synthetics, Merino wool is an active fiber that reacts to changes in body temperature. So it helps you stay warm when the weather is cold, and cool when the weather is hot.

Biodegradable

When wool is disposed of, it will naturally decompose in soil in a matter of months or max 3-4 years, slowly releasing valuable nutrients back into the earth. Synthetic fibres, on the other hand, can be extremely slow to degrade and significantly contribute to the world’s overflowing landfills and microplastics pollution, as they broke down into smaller pieces by the sun, wind and waves, but they never completely go away.

Wrinkle resistant

The elastic properties of the merino fiber make it extremely wrinkle resistant. If you hang your sweaters out to dry, ironing becomes optional. And when you’re travelling with a packed suitcase, just get out your merino wool clothes, hang them while you are preparing and you’re ready to go.

Odour resistant

In contrast to synthetics, Merino wool can absorb moisture vapour, which means less sweat on your body. Merino wool even absorbs the odour molecules from sweat, which are only released upon washing.

Non allergenic

Merino wool does miracles for style-lovers with sensitive skin. Research shows that wearing merino wool sweaters reduces adult and infant eczema symptoms impressively compared to other fabrics. This hypoallergenic fiber treats your skin softly and with great care.

UV resistant

Merino wool clothing provides good protection from the sun, compared with the protection from other fibers. As a natural fiber, evolved over millions of years to protect sheep against the elements, Merino wool absorbs UV radiation providing protection from the sun.

Durable

Merino wool is 6 times stronger than cotton. Each fiber can be bent back onto itself over 20.000 times. In comparison: cotton breaks after 3.200 times. This practically means, you will enjoy your sweater for a long time, just be careful with your jewellery, watches and bags in order not to damage the surface.

Easy to care for

Our Merino wool garments can be machine-washed, providing a simple solution to the common question of “How to wash wool?”
